I don't think that's correct.  Mrtg can be configured with the SNMP
"community" string, which is the (weak) password used for SNMP.  The
documentation for it suggests protecting that password.

CLI through cfgmaker, right?

Why /usr/bin?  Do ordinary users invoke this?

I would have expected mrtg to be delivered as a service that can be
enabled or disabled in the usual way (svcadm).  Am I missing
something?
