Well, mod_jserv was proposed to Solaris before Tomcat itself 
(LSARC/2000/024). So it is somehow related to  Solaris WBEM Services.
It might be also possible it's being used by SUNWasu - Sun Java System 
Application Server.

There is plan to issue Sun Alert suggesting to migrate to Tomcat 5.5. We 
can make note there. There is also some space in patch README file for 
notes.
