I submitted this case for Mark Phalan on Monday but for some reason it never
went out to the PSARC
mailing list. I am emailing it here for the record.

2. Project Summary
   2.1. Project Description:

        Integreate Net::SSLeay into Solaris. Net::SSLeay is a Perl
        extension for using OpenSSL.

4. Technical Description:
    4.1. Details:

        Net::SSLeay provides two Perl modules:
                Net::SSLeay.pm
                Net::SSLeay::Handle.pm

        From Net::SSLeay.3:
        "This module offers some high level convinience functions for accessing
         web pages on SSL servers (for symmetry, same API is offered for
         accessing http servers, too), a sslcat() function for writing your own
         clients, and finally access to the SSL api of SSLeay/OpenSSL package so
         you can write servers or clients for more complicated applications."

        From Net::SSLeay::Handle.3:
        "Perl module that lets SSL (HTTPS) sockets be handled as standard file
         handles."

        The current version of Net::SSLeay will be taken as-is and integreated
        with Solaris. No changes are planned.

    4.2. Bug/RFE Number(s):

    4.11. Security Impact:

         This case adds Perl language bindings to OpenSSL and provides
         no other significant additional functionality related to security.
         It is only functional if OpenSSL is also on the system.
