Integrating a single case piecemeal is undesirable, as it causes confusion in the integration logs. I'd suggest leaving this default change out of this case and filing a separate fast-track for that. It can be reviewed independently.

        The project team asks for Micro/Path release binding

Changing the default would typically not be appropriate in a Patch as it constitutes an incompatible change. Again, I'd suggest reviewing that separately, as the selector is likely appropriate for patch binding.
