Which as I understand it is a fairly large departure from the way things
work now... (consider the various cross-consolidation projects, the FMA
snmp agent springs immediately to mind, Tamarack too.)
(does that make my point any clearer? or am I being dense?)
All the things you mention accept the fact that the various impacted
consolidations will all be delivered in lockstep (as part of a monthly
SX release or a pseudo-quarterly S10update release...)
The "proper use of abstractions" mantra says that as long as you
release a self-consistent bundle of things, you can do what you want
inside the bundle. Consolidation Private and its contracted variants
are the words we use to describe those interdependencies and call
attention to the fact that the formerly independent components are
now joined at the hip.
Non-Committed cross-consolidation dependencies quickly devolve into
a single intertwined WOS that must be release-managed as a single unit,
which is why we pay attention to them when developing and reviewing
architecture.
