We could.
I've done both jobs at Sun and while I would agree it can be useful I
don't think we need to design and implement that tool as a requirement
for getting rid of keywords in source files as part of the Mercurial
conversion.
There are sufficient tools around that this information can be
determined in the cases where it is necessary, even if it isn't trivial
todo so with a single command.
