I am a newbie trying to install openSolaris, for i386. I'm trying to do
this inside a Solaris 10 (Express) guest OS within
VMWare-Server.1.0.2-39867.
I followed all steps as per:
http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/tools/building_opensolaris/
but after the nightly script finishes, I get a failed build.
The errors in mail_msg file are of the form:
The following command caused the error:
dmake: Warning: Don't know how to make target 'debug64/dtracestubs.o'
dmake: Warning: Target `install.targ' not remade because of errors.
I tried searching for 'File not found' errors in nightly.log, and here's
what I found (some 10-15 lines like this).
ld: fatal: file <build
path>/testws/proto/root_i386/usr/lib/gss/mech_krb5.so: open failed: No
such file or directory.
I am not able to figure out stuff myself since the nightly.log is too
extensive to hunt for errors. I also google'd and looked at:
http://www.opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=2304&tstart=0
but again, the fix was already present in the Makefile I have, so this
was not the problem.
I am not sure how else I should go about debugging this.
Would be really helpful if someone could give me pointers as to what the
problem could be and how I could fix it.
I can provide more dumps from the logs if that would serve my purpose
better :)
