Hi George, ok, I'll bite - in your email from two days ago, you wrote "I am pretty sure that it is the readlink() function causing trouble." which is what I disagreed with. And as Casper and Bart very quickly thereafter proved, the issue was with the linker you were using, not the Solaris linker. I think we can say that we agree on the final diagnosis, even if we don't necessarily agree about the path taken to get there. cheers, James C.
