Actually I want the interface to show up as an instance when I type ifconfig. I want it so that kernel can forward packets to that interface when application invoked a send() system call for instance. So I am already using a .conf file having name for the instance. I am able to create an instance /devices/pseudo/[EMAIL PROTECTED]:xnet0%. How can I configure it so that it shows up as an interface when ifconfig is invoked.
