Yes, this worked well after a reboot. Just reloading the driver didn't do it, though. The question remains which priority is preferred - most NIC-style adapters seem to use 6? I think it would not harm to mention this property (more prominently) in the documentation like "writing device drivers". Is there a complete listing of the generic driver options?
