OpenSolaris packages are built by a number of different consolidations,
(ON, X, Desktop, SFW, etc.) each with their own source trees, build systems,
and default flags, so short of changing the defaults built into ld,
"everything" really isn't all changed to the same set of flags - you're
probably thinking of one of the consolidations changing their defaults.
