Which xmms (ogg123) audio output driver are you using? I guess that with your oss audio driver you could be using - "oss" Open Sound System driver, using the /dev/dsp device - "sun" Sun Audio driver for NetBSD, OpenBSD, and Solaris Use the /dev/audio device. - "arts" aRts Sound Daemon (when KDE desktop is used). - "esd" Enlightened Sound Daemon (when GNOME desktop is used). I'm just using S10-GA-x86, ogg123 (and the "sun" audio output driver), an ufsdump is running on the filesystem containing the .ogg files, and a USB keyboard / mouse. There is no skipping with the audio, and no jittery USB mouse.
