That should not be true, as concerns public interfaces.

What you really mean to say is that reimplementing the interfaces
implemented in Solaris by closed-source or non-redistributable
components is more work than you're willing to do.  That's fine;
you've worked your tail off already and done far more than anyone has
the right to ask.  But you should not give anyone the impression that
it's technically impossible to reimplement these interfaces from
scratch.  If there is a public interface whose behaviours are
inadequately documented, please file a bug.
