Clearly we will want a central download site. Whether this is on opensolaris.org, genunix.org or elsewhere needs to be determined. I don't know what sort of hardware or bandwidth those sites now have or can be made to have. Dennis and I both have major archives already and so we (not speaking for Dennis) can either host in the beginning or be mirror sites. I have three servers going now and will be doubling my bandwidth in September. But, a central site with lots of good mirror sites is surely better - wherever that is.
Like all of these issues, community input is needed - and quickly. I suspect it will be relatively soon when we want to start to have packages for download. The infrastructure setup will take time.
