It's not so much the tailoring of the sources that would be needed,
but adding all those non-gnome dependencies that are part of Solaris 10
but weren't part of Solaris 8.  Things like freetype2, fontconfig,
libXft, libXrender, libxml2, libxslt.  Some of them may be there but
too old versions to use.  So it can get tricky.  That said, any GNOME
distribution for Solaris 8 will have to resolve these issues, anyway...
