I know the key combination in a linux distro is C-A-Backspace, but I cannot locate the combination for OpenSolaris or Solaris 10. I need to be able to stop the desktop login from ever loading and just work with the console. (This is because I have a monitor that won't work with the current X settings). I would do a stop-A and boot cdrom, but theres a nice Firmware password on this hand-me-down system, which has to be worked around first-- so i need a console to do the nice '#eeprom security-mode=none'.
If you're using Xorg on Solaris x86, it's also Control-Alt-Backspace. If you're using Xsun on SPARC or x86, there is none by default, but you can configure one - see: http://blogs.sun.com/roller/page/alanc?entry=killing_xsun_with_a_keystroke -- -Alan Coopersmith- [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Microsystems, Inc. - X Window System Engineering _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list [email protected]
