Hi Steven,

I understand that Sun is now selling OEM Emulex HBAs.

Correct.

Does this mean my long wait for Leadville complaint drivers for Emulex HBAs (LP9002, LP9802-DCE is now over?

Yes. Yay!! You can find a table about the various HBAs and required
patch levels at my blog:

http://blogs.sun.com/roller/page/jmcp/20060128

The above has some signficant implications.
I have not been able to use STMS with Emulex HBAs since their drivers are non Leadville. If Sun releases the Leadville drivers (Sun SAN 4.4.7?), does this mean I can now do away with Veritas DMP and/or PowerPath? (Both of which I intensly dislike, particularly PP).

That's my understanding.

I really like scsi_vhci's single LUN concept.

That's good to hear - we like it too, and other vendors are coming
to that opinion as well.

Has anyone here done a fiber boot with STMS as yet? I understand you are not allowed to run commands like devfsadm -C?

I can't actually answer this question, not having done any fibre
boot testing myself (I just write drivers). Torrey McMahon might
be able to give you an answer though.
