You can get away without the dumpadm. Once you change swap in the vfstab
and reboot it will automatically go to d10, at least that works for me.
Actually I don't bother with lockfs either. But I do add hot spares if I
have the disks spare.
I'd agree that its easy and reliable. Automate-able too.
