I'll look into filing a bug when i get a chance. Basically we've seen a system lock up here without it. My understanding is that this was not due to an out of memory condition, but I need to investigate further. We also saw problems when we tried to stripe swap across our disks, but that's a different issue. > Solaris > virtual memory is designed to work just fine without swap space. I understand that. We're trying to eliminate the disks from a potential point of failure (well, the dimms are still a potential failure point too....). peter _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list opensolaris-discuss@opensolaris.org
