FWIW I tried booting one of out Niagara boxes with snv_40
and it worked just fine.  Try snooping the network to see
what actually gets downloaded by the client.

Umm. No. Actually I've tried both sun4v and sun4u - with sun4u it explodes
in more spectacular ways :-)
