This is no problem. The main source change was to supress a warning from GCC
with code that is intended to work around the problem that Linux does not offer
a DMA residual count.

The main changes in general have all been makefile specific. The new 
makefilesystem has been restructured and now allows compilation on "Services 
For UNIX" on MS-Windows as well as with the MSVC compiler "cl".
