I don't think that Sun necessarily has to respond. Take a look at the
page in question:

You'll have a sore scroll mouse finger going through all the licenses they
tell you not to use. They aren't being too ecumenical here are they? I
think that speaks better than what an "offical" statement from Sun could
say.
