1-is there any all in one download package which has all OpenSolaris
OpenSolaris is just a consolidation of code that is enough to make an
OpenSolaris-based distribution. Solaris Express is one OpenSolaris-based
distribution, which is what you're probably referring to.
stuff like Desktop GUI , Development IDEs , application server...?
2-Can it co-exist with Windows XP ? does it have a OS selector to help
us have multiboot
Solaris Express includes JDS (a modified Gnome2) and CDE (the
traditional UNIX desktop environment). For development IDEs, you'll
probably want to install Sun Studio 11 (which is free). It includes
XEmacs and the Sun Studio IDE (Netbeans with C/C++ language support, dbx
support, and Performance Analyzer support). JES (also free) is a
separate download and includes the JES Application Server.
If you have an existing Windows XP install, the Solaris installer will
detect it and add it to the Grub configuration.
3-Does it have a graphical user friendly installer ?
As friendly as most Linux distributions. It requires basic knowledge
regarding partitioning, slicing, etc.
