Hah,

I managed to install the CD ISO version of Centos 3.8 without a glitch.

I simply followed the Brand Z community's instructions and left the installer(s) going overnight.

Only real question is that when I've logged in to the system using "zlogin linux" and do:

# export DISPLAY="192.168.1.247:0"
# xterm

OR

# DISPLAY="192.168.1.247:0" xterm

...my CentOS container doesn't "see" the DISPLAY variable.

EG:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] html]# ping 192.168.1.247
WARNING: setsockopt(ICMP_FILTER): Protocol not available
WARNING: your kernel is veeery old. No problems.
PING 192.168.1.247 (192.168.1.247) 56(84) bytes of data.
Warning: no SO_TIMESTAMP support, falling back to SIOCGSTAMP
64 bytes from 192.168.1.247: icmp_seq=0 ttl=255 time=0.674 ms
[EMAIL PROTECTED] html]# echo $DISPLAY
192.168.1.247:0
[EMAIL PROTECTED] html]# gnome-terminal

(gnome-terminal:113939): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:

I'm not sure if this is a CentOS problem (and I should be asking there) or a Solaris Brand Z problem. It *looks* like a CentOS problem to me...
