It's not as simple as "booting into Trusted Solaris mode". You need
to install and configure the Trusted Extensions.

There is ample documentation here: http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/coll/
175.9

Why are the Trusted Extension packages not installed by default? I
selected 'Full Install' during installation and the installer did not
install these packages

[EMAIL PROTECTED] is probably a better alias to ask this on since that where most of the TX developers listen. I've cc'd that alias and set Reply-To there, the original aliases are Bcc'd.

When the packages are installed they automatically enable labeling, and as such disables branded zones. This is because they were originally designed to be able to be shipped separately from Solaris as a layered product, the plan changed but the implementation has not yet.

I believe the plan for the future is that they will be installed by default but that requires some changes in how we determine if we should be running label aware or not.
