It has Micro/Patch binding as part of PSARC approval and so as long as
there is an escalation (such as, PCFS non-ASCII character file name support
project that Narayana is about to putback), we can also put the interfaces to
S10 update.
Yes, other file systems and ldtterm can be easily converted to use
the uconv functions. I also think that will be good community projects.
If anyone needs any help on the projects, please also let me know and
I'll see what I can do from my side.

Are there plans to put these into a Solaris 10 update as well ?
We currently have three such sets of conversion functions - in UDFS, in
HSFS and common/os/uconv.c; will we merge them ? As a community project,
maybe ?
