Personally I had hoped for git to succeed - but it failed on its own
demerits in fair and open testing against the competition.
git certainly had my vote as we're stuck using it anyway to work with
the X.Org sources, which are now in git, but I understand it wasn't
the best fit to the criteria the community chose, so accept that
decision.
