PRINTABLE MANY PAGE SOLARIS MANUAL PROJECT - OPEN FOR BUSINESS
http://www.opensolaris.org/os/project/pmpsm/
16 February 2007
On the 16th of January, 2007, David Lloyd proposed an OpenSolaris
project to develop and create a number of printable "many page" Solaris
manuals. The purpose of these manuals would be to provide printable
"cheat sheets" and "documentation" to cover appropriate topics or
actions one may commonly encounter when using a distribution based on
the OpenSolaris community's code.
Originally inspired the the "One Page Linux Manual" -- and having gained
consent to base the first "manual" on this manual -- it is hoped that
one day all users of code developed by the OpenSolaris community, from
Sun Microsystems to an individual, new OpenSolaris community member will
find these manuals a useful resource.
Primary discussion for the development of the manuals will be "within"
the documentation community's discussion list unless (until?) such
discussion becomes frequent enough to warrant a new mailing list.
Please visit the initial project page:
...to see the project's current goals. The project leader encourages
anyone interested in helping to suggest what "manuals" might be useful
and/or moulding the initial course of the project may join the
documentation discussion list:
...or if you prefer, may contact the project leader privately:

Finally, I'd like to thank the OpenSolaris community and the OpenSolaris
Governing Board for providing the resources and material needed to start
this project.
David Lloyd
Project Leader
