I've managed to get this done in some cases, but it required me
editing various configuration files as root. That shouldn't be
necessary. Seems like this is a function of xdm that somehow got lost
along the way.
Doesn't setting "SESSIONTYPE=xdm" in $HOME/.dtprofile do this?
It seems at least close enough for me to start twm out of dtlogin
using my own $HOME/.xsession without hassles. (No idea yet about gdm
...)
$HOME/.dtprofile is a dtlogin interface, not a gdm one.
