Well , I have only installed one machine with snv 59 at this point so I can not say that I have authoritative knowledge of your problem .
When my installprocess sort of stalled; I right klicked the background . I selected at start a new terminal ( dtterm ) I found out that a java process executing the java program "sysid" seemed to be in a loop state.
