I really don't get why you think OpenSolaris (esp. as in Solaris Express, as opposed to regular Solaris (currently 10)) should have any particular gee-whiz-updates-are-painless tools.
Well, let's see - I have Solaris 8+10 systems in production where they run stably for months between maintenance windows, and have carefully managed changes (if changes are necessary and allowed) put in rarely. I don't want a gee-whiz-updates-are-painless tool there. On the other hand, my Solaris Express boxes get refreshed pretty frequently. (Not every build, maybe every other.) That's the sort of environment where an easy update tool would be far more useful. -- -Peter Tribble http://www.petertribble.co.uk/ - http://ptribble.blogspot.com/ _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list opensolaris-discuss@opensolaris.org
