Features may or may not be the same, but some tables don't render
correctly in .doc and PowerPoint files. This may or may not be
font-related. But the fact is some MS-generated files just don't
display correctly.
I've also never seen layered slides display correctly.
If you have a pure-StarOffice/OO site then this may be OK. But not for
others.
