Will ZFS be more stable on its native OS or in userland on Linux? It could be stable on both but I suspect a risk averse decision maker would use ZFS on a Solaris and one of the more well-supported filesystems for Linux...
Right now...I think I would not have much of a choice if you are talking about stability.
