Solaris 9 isn't OpenSolaris. You should probably contact Sun's support group, bigadmin, or comp.unix.solaris for help. > I have a wireless router(DHCP enabled) and connecting one of the ethernet > ports to the Sun box. when I type ifconifg, I get the following Ip > (192.168.1.5). Do you have this host name specified in /etc/inet/hosts and in /etc/inet/ipnodes? What is in your /etc/nsswitch.conf file for the "hosts:" and "ipnodes:"? Does "getent hosts hostname" work? -- James Carlson, Solaris Networking <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sun Microsystems / 1 Network Drive 71.232W Vox +1 781 442 2084 MS UBUR02-212 / Burlington MA 01803-2757 42.496N Fax +1 781 442 1677 _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list opensolaris-discuss@opensolaris.org
