In the current project proposal scheme, this needs to be discussed and approved in the storage community itself. The wider opensolaris-discuss list isn't needed. The current process is documented here: http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/ogb/policies/project-instantiation.txt In short, get consensus in the community, then have one of the core community members contact Eric Boutilier to have the project set up.
