Another option for those that are somewhat tied to GCC is to use valgrind in a linux branded zone. I tested valgrind with this and it works fairly well. As a mobile solaris user, this is actually pretty useful. dbx was having trouble on my gcc compiled code, and I confess, I'm tired of dealing with GMP's lackluster configure system so I can't use sun studio for the moment.
