I was able to install GlassFish v2 into SuSE 10.2. Everything went very well; I am able to log into my own very first java server by typing http://localhost:8080 from Firefox. (To those who are temped to quote this story in a negative manner, I strongly advise them to try SuSE 10.3 beta or Fedora 8 alpha and let me if you have any success.)
I will try another installation when Solaris 10u4 comes out. I suspect there could be a simple stupid error on my part. BTW, do we need to do any config changes in Solaris in order to run GlassFish in localhost? Thanks.
