Perhaps some of you can shed some light on what I apparently am misunderstanding.
Can a device driver be taken from linux, and be run as is (GPL'd and all) on solaris? I was of the belief that once these are linked, you are violating the GPL as the solaris kernel is not GPL'd, and this linking is considered a derivative work. Anyone want to shed some light on the subject?
