Do try building europa on any reference/supported platform w/o jdk1.6.0+ there's "-targe = 1.6" in the build.xml.
It had kiiled my last weekend for the port/packaging/testing. If one need jdk1.4+ to run eclipse, i had "eclipse-SDK-3.2.2-solaris-gtk-x86.zip" ported 7-monthes ago on solaris 10/x86 11/06.
