for x86/x64 boxes, Wake-on-LAN is a NIC/Mainboard thing, nothing to be related to Opensolaris, IMHO.
I'd used "wol [-i <ipaddr>] macaddress on all those boxes and use grub-set-default for OSes selection. no known problems, so far.
