Speaking for libcdio in general (not for this unneeded paranoia variant *),
this is a typical result of copy & paste OpenSource development. Some people 
do not develop own software but take sources from various places and combine
them without asking the original authors. This results in the inability to 
change the license later. Another result of this developing method is fast 
growing sizes of the binaries because some software may be present several 
times in variants.


*) cdrtools include a bug fixed GPLd libparanoia since 2002 and a rightfully
LGPL version since May 2005.
