In case you're wondering if there's actually builds of the betas for Solaris. There are, if you look really really close.
x86 and SPARC builds for Solaris Nevada to be found here: http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.0b2/contrib/solaris_pkgadd/ That build appears relatively stable to me. Be sure to back up the profile though, and be prepared to wave good bye to some extensions and skins that aren't updated already to work this this.
