Well, I've tried one of the first T2000 with 8 cores = 32 threads ... At the 
time I've tested with a script that basically would only create random 
processes for math calculations. I know that these systems were not developed 
for math but web tier applications. Either way, the system was capable of 
handling 32 threads simultaneously. 

But these processes weren't handling with I/O activity. What you may have there 
is really a I/O bottleneck even if it's based on zero and null devices.
