hi pappu, was that your problem when installing opensolaris?
if yes then - you should specify none for DNS server since you are using DHCP to acquire ip address etc. but - after the installation process is finished - then you should check your DNS (nameserver) server existence : more /etc/resolv.conf if your machine doesnt find the file then switch user or login as root and create one - provide your ISP nameserver ip : vi /etc/resolv.conf (you can do this using GUI text editor). your nameserver is your ISP DNS server ip (ask your ISP).
