I'm trying to create a chroot environment within a zone so that I can run a separate sshd process within it that is configured to use a separate LDAP server from the main system passwd DB. I have a script to create a chroot environment but it uses "mknod" to create devices which fails because "mknod" does not run in a zone. Does anyone have ideas on a workaround? Is it possible to create the chroot environment in the global zone and then access it from the local zone?
