You can't toss a Sun Ray in your car and drive to a customer site. Ever tried it ? In the *real* world where I live you need a Sparc based machine that has enough grunt and memory that you can toss into the back of a car and then drop it on a desk anywhere and whammo you have Solaris on Sparc with graphics and a mouse and a keyboard. The tadpole is great for that but a tad pricey if you want it to really be well configured. The SunBlade 2500 is very very nice and it can be tossed into a car if you need to. Here I am smiling at a customer site and I have a SB2500 there : http://www.blastwave.org/dclarke/blog/images/Sun_Blade_2500.png If you are curious what that blue box is, that would be the EFIKA : http://www.blastwave.org/dclarke/blog/images/EFIKA.png http://www.blastwave.org/dclarke/efika/efika_003_m.jpg another great RISC based idea that just needed some love in order to run OpenSolaris.
