I have not the most common name(alf) yet it is impossible for me to get it as username of most pages on the web, including this one.
This is of course because that there thousands of people called the same thing or who call themselves this in their network profile. I have therefore chosen to use my full name as username on the web, and I almost always can do so. But it annoys me a lot, that this sites is one of the very few places on the Web, that have chosen to only allow 8 characters in the username. (my full name is alfnielsen - 10 characters) I do not know whether there is a particular reason for this, which I have not figured out, but I am probably not the only one with this problem.
