What do you mean with fault tolerant?
Sun Cluster? => application monitoring
Hardware fault:
failover? => secondary hardware + Sun Cluster

reduced recovery time? => secondary hardware + something to monitor the machines each other + distributed storage (maybe also sun cluster) Sun Cluster using a group of guest, maybe distributed over more than one metal => also hardware fault tolerant => would share app information based on Sun Cluster
