I know ;-) My question was meant rhetorically... Anyway, both FUSE based solutions are really only a workaround. What I wanted to imply with my question is: don't expect other systems than Linux to support ext2/ext3, as Linux also doesn't support things like ZFS out of the box. One really has to live with the native filesystems an OS provides.
