Bullshit. There was a development branch for Solaris 10 when Solaris 9 was frozen, but not a different operating system. Solaris Express was preview of Solaris 10.
To put this to rest then. OpenSolaris is not a different operating system than Solaris 10. Just a different name, not a fork like OpenBSD from NetBSD in any way.
